FAQ

  • How much notice do you need for custom orders?

    Generally I need at least 2 weeks notice, but the sooner the better so I can guarantee I am available for your date! If there is less than 2 weeks notice I will do my best to fit in your order but a rush fee may be applied depending on my availability and turnover time.

  • Where is pick up and do you deliver?

    I do pickups in peculiar, but I can occasionally accommodate a pick up in Harrisonville, Raymore, Belton, or Lee’s Summit. I can deliver to all areas for a small fee!

  • Do you do allergen friendly treats?

    I have many allergen friendly recipes on hand, however my kitchen is not allergen friendly so I can not guarantee there will not be cross contamination.

  • When do I pay?

    I do require payment prior to order pick up, and to retain your date. So the sooner you are able to pay the better!

  • What if I need to cancel?

    Refunds will depend on what has been sourced for your order and your orders due date. Please contact me ASAP if there has been a change in your order!

  • How long do cookies stay fresh?

    Cookies that are sealed in an airtight container are best if eaten within 1 week. Cookies that are frozen can last for several months!

  • How do I care for my cookies?

    It is best to keep cookies out of direct sunlight, humidity, and heat to ensure they do not break or the colors don’t bleed. They are best stored on a counter or the freezer!

  • How long do cakes/cupcakes last?

    They are best if eaten within a week.

  • How do I transport my cake?

    Cakes are best transported in a cool car, on a flat surface(I recommend a car floorboard), and you should avoid sudden turns or stops as much as possible.

  • How do I store my cakes and cupcakes?

    They are best stored in the refrigerator until your party(I recommend removing them from the fridge at least 20 minutes prior to serving)! They need to stay out of the heat so they don’t melt!

  • What other treats do you offer?

    I specialize in cakes, decorated cookies, macarons, and cupcakes. I may be able to accommodate other treats upon special request!

  • Do you offer classes?

    I do! I periodically host classes at various local venues, or I can host a private class for just you and your friends!

Terms

Can’t Attend A Class

Can’t go to a class that you already signed up for? We totally understand that life happens! If notice is given within 1 week of the class you will receive a credit to use towards a future class. If no notice is given, we are more than happy to box up your class supplies for you to decorate at home! The cookie kit will need to be picked up within 48 hours of the class date otherwise I would be more than happy to donate it on your behalf!

Payment Due

You pay, I’ll bake! Payment is required up front so that I can source your cute cutters, spectacular sprinkles, fabulous food colors and the perfect packaging. Your payment will reserve your pick-up date too!

No show = No treats

Your treats are best enjoyed fresh. Not showing up to the agreed upon pick-up time, forfeits your order. Need to reschedule your pick-up? No problem! Please reach out 7 days prior to your pickup time.

Refunds

I can offer refunds up to 24 hours after the payment has been accepted. Unfortunately, after that time, I cannot guarantee refunds as your supplies have likely been ordered. But the good news – you get the goodies!

Cake Catastrophe

Once the cake(or any of your other treats) leaves my hands I am no longer responsible for damages caused. Cakes are best transported in the floor of a car, need to be kept cool, and need a sturdy table as they can be heavy!

Tippin' Toppers

If any non edible toppers are added on, ex. ribbon, gems, faux flowers, topper, fresh flowers, I am not responsible for any damages incurred once the desserts left my hands. Fresh flowers may also contain pesticides, insects, dirt, chemicals, toxins, or other contaminants, so it is best to use flowers from a reputable source that knows they will be in contact with food. Also please keep in mind that the weight of the topper needs to be taken into consideration, so that it will not sink into the cake or fall off.

Delivery Clause

All orders are pick-up only. Delivery can be an option with an additional fee!

Change Cutoff

Decisions are tough! But we’re here to help. Order changes can be made until 7 days before pick-up. After that, all change requests will be under consideration and a small fee will apply.

Inspiration

Thanks a ton for bringing those inspo pictures! They are just that – inspiring. But your treats may not be perfect replicas – we’ll try to keep it close.

In a hurry?

While I can’t always accommodate last minute orders, I will make my best effort to. Orders may be subject to a rush fee.

Price Adjustments

All prices are subject to change. Prices are often dictated by ingredients costs. I’m always trying to provide the best tasting treats to my clients. This also means that I can’t honor old pricing (because the grocery store won’t honor their old flour prices – darn it).

Product Photography

Say Cheese!! I love to photograph these pretty sweet lookin’ sweets. But if you do not want your cookies in the spotlight, please let me know at the time you place your order. Secrets are safe with me.

Pictures are worth a thousand words

But they are not always accurate. Colors and lighting in photos may be slightly different than what you may end up with. Also, cookies in photos may not be true to size! (which is a bummer, I’d frankly love to eat an 8.5x11 inch cookie!!)

Order Minimums

Most my treats require a 1 dozen minimum. Mini cupcakes and mini cookies have a 2 dozen minimum. Need fewer? Stay tuned for a popup shop announcement on my Facebook page!

It’s All Yours Now.

Once you pick-up your order (thanks again, by the way), what happens to your cookies, cocoa bombs, and car doors (I hate door dings) is all on you! Keep ‘em safe, keep ‘em cool, and keep ‘em away from the parking lot cart returns.

No Ghosts

(I’m easily spooked). To get your order juuust right, I’ll need you to reply to my messages within 4 hours – otherwise, I may just have to wing it (I’m good at wingin’ it – just ask my eyeliner). Questions for me? Please give me about 4 hours to reply – I’m usually covered in dough!

Achoo! Allergies?

Baked goods are often made with foods that can be known allergens. While I can do my best to accommodate I can’t always accommodate allergy-conscious orders. Please do reach out – I may have a perfect referral for ya!

Cottage Food Laws

This order has been made in a home kitchen not inspected by the health department. Our kitchen is not nut free, egg free, dairy free, gluten free, and may contain other allergens. Boring disclaimer, but we have to say it per the law. *tips cowboy hat* *straightens Sheriff pin*

In Sickness and in Health

While death will never do us part, you’re consuming food and with the consumption of anything there are inherent risks. Choking hazards, food illnesses, and allergic reactions are possibilities – albeit hopefully far reaching.

Weather Clause

If pickup is impossible due to inclement weather, your order will be sealed for a later pickup date. Unfortunately, no refunds can be offered due to weather (darn rain), but we will make sure your order is kept as fresh as possible!

Refunds

While we want you to love our cookies, if you are not satisfied with your order, please reach out as quickly as possible that way I can trouble shoot. We will then determine if a credit or refund may be issued for a future order.

Bulk Order?

Due to the custom work required for each cookie, we are unable to extend discounts regardless of quantity. If you have a specific budget you are working with, feel free to let us know in advance and we’ll do our best to offer you a solution that fits your budget
